COVID-19 update: District closes 4 rec sites, advises staff to work remotely

The Northwest Florida Water Management District has instructed its staff to work remotely as much as possible to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Beginning Tuesday, March 17, District offices in Midway and DeFuniak Springs will be closed to the public. District staff will be available by telephone or email.

In light of guidelines issued by the federal government and the State of Florida regarding the gathering of large crowds, the District has also closed the following recreation sites until further notice: Pitt/Sylvan springs, Williford Spring, The Pipes recreation site, and Fillingim Landing.
