Cotton Lake Recreation Area

Located approximately 30 miles north of Pensacola off Highway 29 and near the small town of Molina, the Cotton Lake Recreation Area features a boat ramp, day-use area, and seven reservation-only campsites.

The area has picnic tables, fire rings, pedestal grills, and portable toilets.

While campsites 1 through 4 are accessible to RVs, trailers, and tents, no power, water, or waste disposal hookups are available.

Campsites 5 through 7 are tent-only sites and are separated from the first four sites.

Each campsite can hold a maximum of eight people and two vehicles. Campers may arrive after 3 p.m. and must depart by 1 p.m. on the final day of their reservation.

The boat launch provides access to the Escambia River, the fourth-largest river in Florida and home to more than 85 native freshwater fish species.

The day-use area is open from dawn to dusk and launching and retrieval of boats is allowed at all times.
